I am wanting to buy the Canon G9 and use it for scuba diving (underwater.) I want to get the WP-DC21 Waterproof Case, but I want to be able to get a strobe. Is it possible to attach a strobe to this while it is in the housing?

Also, would it be better to get the 650 instead? I read on a site saying "External flash: No".. I wasn't sure if this meant that you aren't able to attach a strobe or not..

I'm a pretty big noobie to cameras, so any suggestions would be great please! Here is the housing link for the G9, if it's helpfull.

Thanks!

Quote from BHphotovideo.com on the wp-dc21:

>>>You can use your camera's internal flash for lighting purposes. Or, use the internal flash to trigger a slaved external strobe like those made by Fantasea, Sea & Sea, Ikelite, Sunpak or Sealife. The camera has a underwater white balance setting for available light photography.<<<

The 650 is an excellent camera, but the G9 is a more capable camera than the 650. It has more features, like the ability to mount an external strobe unit.

If you can afford it, I would go for the G9.
